Hamre year 105-108 - Young Entrepreneur

« previous entry | next entry »

Previously at Hamre, the boys excelled in school and Buster was adopted. The gosts were a nuisance and Christoffer and Hedvig continued to work in their respective careers.

Hamre year 105-108, Sunday to Wednesday
Christoffer Montell, 38, Romance/Fortune, LTW Hall of Famer
Hedvig Montell, 38, Romance, LTW Celebrity Chef
Claes Montell, 10
Stig Montell, 10
Macke, the collie
Buster, the puppy

Christoffer has no brothers or sisters, but only a bunch of uncles and aunts and a whole lot of cousins.

Hedvig has no relatives at all, which means Stig and Claes have no cousins at all and no aunts and uncles.

That means that according to Mattsmyra rules only Sebastian and his wife Rut would get invited for family Sunday, but to give the boys a nice day off, all their second cousins are invited. That way we have more of a playdate than a family Sunday.

Christoffer maxes his charisma skill

And the play date is in full swing

Rut builds an evil snowman and wants a snowball fight. She’s a mean sim, but could be adviced to get dressed. It’s cold outside!

Buster grows up and we see that he’s a terrier. Let’s decide he’s a border terrier.

Christoffer comes home promoted to Hall of Famer, which was his LTW. 2p! Now he wants to be a Prestidigitator.

Hedvig is promoted to Restauranteur and has quite some studying to do to get to the next level

Then it’s time for the twin’s birthday

Claes gets a Family aspiration and an LTW to becoe Education minister while Stig becomes Fortune with an LTW to own 5 top businesses. :/ Well, it has to be done sometime!

It’s a great party!

As soon as the party is over, Stig buys his first business, the gym that was such a success story for his great-uncle Leif.

Saga Johansson is his first client.

And while he frames his first simoleon earned, he studies the first simoleon Leif earned at the same place.

And soon we have level 1!

The next day the boys get a snowday and Christoffer spent too much time in the hot tub

The interesting thing with snowdays is that it is perfectly possible to go to other lots than school, so Claes and Stig heads downtown to buy themselves cell phones

Then they go to the gym and Stig hires Carola to be able to tidy up in the ladies’ locker room.

Back home they make themselves useful by washing one dog each.

Then it’s time for a headmaster visit. Stig who is a Fortune sim of course wants to attend private school.

The dinner and the tour are not quite enough so some espresso is served

And there we get our bonus points and some schmooze points too. Stig is very happy!

Soon it will be spring and Hedvig cannot wait to put the spade into the ground again. The first tomatoes of the year are sown, and by that we leave Hamre for this time.

Hamre after round 28:
Christoffer Montell
Hedvig Montell
Claes Montell
Stig Montell
Macke, the collie
Buster, the border terrier

I think that was a great solution to the Family Sunday. It would not be fair to the kids to not let them get a Family Sunday just because they happen to not have any first cousins. And it is not like you're getting points for them (although perhaps you ought to, given how much effort you've put into this by now...)

Love the solution for Family Sunday. Is this lot officially the smallest Family Sunday if you were to do it by your usual rules? Amusing that the kids got a snow day when there was barely any snow on the ground.

I think this is my smallest family. It's amazing that such small families exist in Mattsmyra :)

Everyone comments on Family Sunday, it seems. I already was going to: I've "stolen" that idea from you since I love to let my sims make their own choices. A lot of sims on the same lot, makes for interesting interactions. The less I can micromanage, the better... I tend to fuss too much about mean interactions and break up fights to avoid sims making enemies. Evidently I still have a problem with conflicts. The game can tell you lots of things about yourself. :D

This was a nice a friendly gathering though despite the lack of nice points in this family: Hedvig must have a soothing effect on the others. And ah - a Headmaster dinner. I remember the early times when I tried to understand how they were to be done. If the cooking is unsufficient and the house not nice enough, the old espresso trick saves the day. Seeing these Pictures (oh my - from Three months ago, I really had the intention to comment on them already a long time ago) I find myself loning to play TS2 for a while. I just takes forever to load with my crazy amounts of cc.

I stole the idea of Family Sunday myself, but it is terrific - just that this family don't have close relatives, so had to make something up :)
It's nice to see your comments some time after the story is posted, it is a reminder of how fun I think this is, still! I think I will never feel the same for the other Sims games as I do for Sims 2

Fun to see Heather married and with kids, so different from what she is like in my game!
And don't you just love the big family Sundays and play dates?

Yes I certainly do, even if some families Sundays are a bit more exciting and others with fights and infidelities and whatnot :)
