Lottefors year 22-25 (Monday - Thursday)

« previous entry | next entry »

The small Montell family is starting year 22 with moving from Öljung to a bigger house in Lottefors (Lotte's Rapids), in preparation for generations to come.

Generations to come are apparently quite close. Inger is pregnant again, and Simon is only an infant.

The new neighbours are bringing the flu. This can be really bad news for Inger’s pregnancy.

Since Mummy’s sick, Simon celebrates his birthday with only Daddy. Terrible hairdresser…

Well, that was better. Simon turns out to be a Pisces, a new sign in Mattsmyra. He’s quite nice with 8 p, this will be a dream society when all these nice kids grow up.

Inger took good care of herself and got well very quickly. She even had time to get a piece of Simon’s birthday cake.

Inger goes into labour at 1pm Wednesday afternoon. The kitchen is a mess, nobody had time or energy to take care of the household with one pregnancy going on and a toddler to take care of.

On the 7th of January ’24 a darkskinned blond and blue eyed girl is born. She is named Barbro – Common name no 36. 1p for j68.

Said toddler, Simon, is learning his skills, but he's not especially bright, despite the looks in this picture. Father Jesper has grown a beard to please his wife. He nearly looks grey haired.

Simon grows up averagely to a child and looks really cool in his black outfit and long hair.

Simon’s little sister Barbro is growing up to toddler the same night, they are only 3 years and 3 months apart in age.
Barbro looks exactly like her brother at the same age, I get bored with all these clones (not clowns I hope).

Barbro is a Pisces too, with the exact same personality as her brother.
Thereby round 6 ends at Lottefors.

Inhabitants at Lottefors after round 6:
Inger Montell
Jesper Montell
Simon Montell
Barbro Montell

Well, at least the Montell kids are nice! Pisces is my favorite sign for being low maintenance and staying out of trouble. And yay for sims who survive the flu with their babies intact!

Also, your naming system amuses me. (Says the guys who named all his original sims after spam senders...)

That's why you have names like Rory, I've been wondering!

Anyway, naming is no fun, but randomness is, so I invented this system with randomness and Swedish statistics. Then I end up with names like Ingeborg Berg :/

Ingeborg Berg isn't so bad. Ingeborg Borg would have been corny though.

I'm starting to see the blond over red genetics winning through here, like you said they would!

YAY for nice sims, and for new signs. :) I like the naming convention a lot. I start out each of my families with a specific heritage (like they all have German names, or Irish names, etc). Of course, as they get married, like Biyu and Franz Isleen, it gets fun....I take Franz heritage (German) for the first kid and Biyu's (Chinese) for the second. So I end up with Ulrich and Jian Isleen as brothers. :) (Oh, and in Breeze Point, the last names are all names of butterflies, I think....or maybe it was dragons. lol....I don't remember which I used now). I love picking out names. :D

I hate picking out names, and love randomness, so that's why I invented my rules for naming in Mattsmyra. I'm quite pleased with it so far, even though I sometimes end up with an already existing name for a new baby.
However I feel that too is realistic - How many John's do we know?! :)

That is very true. Certain names really seem to become common. This neighborhood has been a lot of fun to start catching up on. I'm sure I filled your inbox with all my comments. :)

I am glad that Inge's pregnancy went well. Barbo is very cute as a tot.

Thank you! Most toddlers are cute, at least in Mattsmyra. There´s a different story in Birka, my BaCC - there it is a tradition to have ugly children

I'm finally back to reading Mattsmyra - after an embarrassingly long break. I lost my place at some point when I switched computers, and I've meant to read again for a long time. I still don't know if I found my place, but I will start here.

Simon and Barbro are just so adorable.

Wow, memory lane! I'm JUST preparing to upload a round where Simon helps his GRANDchild to blow out the Candles :)
